Cookie Policy
This policy explains what cookies Face.it sets on your device and why. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
2.Our approach
Face.it uses only strictly-necessary cookies required to operate the service. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or any third-party cookie that is not essential to the site functioning. Under the EU ePrivacy Directive (Art. 5(3)) and equivalent UK law (PECR Reg. 6), strictly-necessary cookies do not require prior consent, which is why you do not see a consent banner.
If we ever add a non-essential cookie we will update this policy and implement a consent mechanism before the cookie is set.
3.Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Category | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| next-auth.session-token | Holds the signed session JWT so you stay logged in across page loads. | essential | 30 days |
| next-auth.csrf-token | CSRF protection for sign-in and account-mutation requests. | essential | Session |
| next-auth.callback-url | Remembers where to send you back after completing sign-in. | essential | Session |
4.How to disable cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse cookies globally, refuse third-party cookies, or refuse cookies on a per-site basis.
Because the cookies we set are strictly necessary for the service to function, blocking them will prevent you from signing in and using Face.it. We do not offer a reduced-cookie mode.
5.Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the service evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Material changes — in particular the introduction of any non-essential cookie — will be announced in-product.
